I am in the medical field and between my wife and myself we hold 7 degrees. I figured this made us bankable. My approach to wealth building was work very hard and the money will come. Well I worked very hard and was careful with spending but ....it didn't come. Then a couple family health crisis, aging parents, education costs, business expenses gobbled up our buffer/savings and liquidity.
Michelle sat us down and spent a few hours just getting to know us financially. Our risk appetite, our dreams, our current situation, our fears and our faith, all BEFORE she started sculpting us. We felt at ease with Michelle and we listened.
She held nothing back and we heard good things and things we didn't want to hear but had to! Our faith is important to us, but we carried a guilt about wealth creation because of a poor understanding of how wealth is represented in scripture, she took us to school biblically!
Today, with a renewed mindset, and step by step game plan, we are on our way achieving the goals which were once distant dreams!
We still have homework for her! It's as if she is right there with us on the journey!
